Study: 11% of digicams fail within two years
According to a study by Square Trade, 11% of digital cameras (sample size = 60,000) purchased since 2006 failed in the first two years. Of these failures, 6.6% were malfunctions and 4.1% accident damage. Panasonic was found to be the clear leader in camera reliability, followed by Fujifilm, Olympus and Sony, and the more expensive cameras fared better than inexpensive models. -- Posted Wednesday, March 31, 2010 by chb
